Connect Paystack to Tuaneka

A step-by-step guide to connecting your Paystack business account and accepting verified payments.

Connect your own Paystack business account to let customers pay through your Tuaneka shop and supported invoice payment flows. You need an active seller trial, Pro or Pro Plus access and an approved Paystack business account.

Before you start

Select the correct business in Tuaneka. Payment connections belong to the active business.
Sign in to your Paystack dashboard and make sure the account can accept live payments.
Use live keys for a live Tuaneka shop. Test keys cannot collect real customer payments.

Connect Paystack

In Paystack, open Settings > API Keys & Webhooks.
In Tuaneka, open Banking & Connections > Payment gateways > Paystack, or go to /payment-gateway/paystack-connect while signed in.
Copy the Live Public Key from Paystack into the public-key field in Tuaneka.
Copy the Live Secret Key into the secret-key field. Never send this key by email, chat or WhatsApp.
Copy the Paystack webhook URL displayed on the Tuaneka setup page and add it to the webhook field in Paystack.
Save the Paystack settings, then save the connection in Tuaneka.

When the connection succeeds, Tuaneka shows Paystack as connected for that business. If you run more than one business, connect the appropriate payment account separately in each workspace.

Check the connection

Publish a low-value test product or prepare a test invoice and complete the payment as a customer. Tuaneka verifies the payment reference, amount, currency, buyer email and order ownership before marking an order or invoice paid. Repeated Paystack callbacks are handled once, so the same payment cannot complete an order twice.

Change or disconnect Paystack

To replace keys, enter the new public and secret keys and save again. Existing secret keys are encrypted and are never shown back in full. You can disable Paystack from the same gateway screen without deleting historical payment records.

If checkout fails, confirm that live keys were used, the Paystack account is active, the webhook URL exactly matches the value shown by Tuaneka, and the order currency is supported by the Paystack account. Unexpected charges, settlement differences or a payment that remains unverified should be escalated with the Tuaneka order number and Paystack reference. Never include card details or a secret key.
